Clemson's played ranked teams in ACC titles games 3 out of the 4 past years. Miami goes to the playoffs that year if they beat Clemson.

Pitt last year had played UCF and Penn State out of conference and lost to UVA who beat SC 28-0. They did have a bad loss to UNC.

if UVA beats FSU tomorrow, there will be at least 3 ACC teams ranked, with Wake winning tonight. NC State could be as well if they beat WV.

Stick to the fact that Bama has an embarrassing joke of an OOC schedule. You aren't going to convince anyone in the country outside of South Carolina that Clemson has to wake up for more than 2 to 3 games a year. Frankly it lowers Clemson's accomplishments. Win 2 or 3 actual football games and you are a champion.

It's really sad that you have to live on conjecture to justify your existence. Especially as a fan of a defending National Champion.

How sad is it that these are the criteria you use to point out the ACC’s strength?

No way to spin it.....until FSU, CANES and to an extent VT, UVA, UNC or NCST wake up the ACC is pathetic.

It would be like an UGA playing in the SEC and UT or VANDY being its toughest game.

Since Alabama beat Clemson like a rented mule (24-6) and Clemson beat Miami 38- 3, how do you think Miami would have fared in the playoffs if they had won?

Miami's record was an aberration. A mirage caused by a weak ACC.
