I was that way with Bert and Mike Anderson...but my entire trip to Razorback Stadium today has me not wanting to go back at all.

I know it was an FCS team, but Chavis has coached his tail off and we have a very formidable defense. It’s not great, but it’s certainly 1,000 miles ahead of a season ago.

Now, let’s talk about the offense...Is it that damn hard to ride your horse in Boyd and not worry about getting all 3 RBs touches? Boyd should be in every single series, I don’t care who we are playing. He should be in every series until the game is out of hand. Spell him out for a rest when needed with Whaley and that’s it. Allow him to get into the flow and ride him.

I thought Hicks was playing because of his knowledge...but he has no business as an SEC starter. Much less over Starkel. Sure Starkel threw a pick, but it’s by miracle that Hicks has a 0 in the INT column after the game.

This isn’t the Morris offense I saw at Tulsa, Clemson, or SMU. If Craddock is the problem, fire him yesterday.

Now, let’s talk about the stadium experience...If I wanted to pay $200+ per ticket plus a foundation donation to go to a fricking rave, or night club with a god awful DJ...I’d just go to the bank and cash it out in all $1 bills and head to Bottoms Up. Whoever the frick is in charge of that bullshite needs to unplug the damn speakers. I recall hearing the band maybe once or twice during game play. Instead, I’m forced to listen to baby shark mixed with some bullshite I’ve never heard before that has me looking on the floor beneath my feet to see if I dropped my ecstasy blue smiley face.

Burn it all down. I won’t be back this season. I dropped a group of my tickets this year and I’ll not renew a damn one next year if this shite doesn’t change.

Rant Over

This...I'm shocked he didn't throw 2 pick sixes with the way he was just throwing jumpballs everywhere including our backfield

This is where I’m at. Morris needs to take over OC duties. Chances are that all 6 qbs we’ve played the last couple of years don’t suck. Also 2 wrs that transferred out scored TDs today. Talent alone doesn’t explain why we are so bad.

Dude don't have a sack, that's why he named Hicks the QB

You can buy some later, but you can't "have" them.

I will likely be putting them on stub hub at some point. Had pretty good success with stub hub during baseball regionals & super regionals. First time I had used it.

It was flat out terrible. It used to be cool to have a song here or there played, because it was done at the correct time and it wasn't overdone. For instance, when Bert was still here I remember the "Stand up and shout" song blared over the speakers at a very loud volume during the OT game against Auburn. THAT was well timed. This crap is between every single damn play.

I watched Auburn/Oregon last night. The game was at an NFL stadium and I don't think I heard piped in music one time, just the respective teams bands. Part of the pageantry of college football is the band. Its the atmosphere that makes the college game better than the NFL, in my opinion.

I also do not know if any of you noticed, but they did it between plays when WE had the ball. What type of shite is that? Between plays is when our team needs to be communicating.

We don't have any identity on offense. Period.(my same complaint before Bert was fired)

With Boyd, we should be a run heavy team from the spread. The OL I saw yesterday against Portland State blocked well enough that we should have ran it down their throats the entire first half and wore their asses out. Boyd averaged 6.3 yards per carry yesterday. He should be getting the ball 25-30 times a game. He certainly should have gotten 15 touches in the first half. Instead, we insert Chase Hayden, who averaged 3 ypc. Every series Hayden was in, the drive did nothing(if memory serves me correct).

I saw it in the 2nd half with Auburn last night. While I cannot stand Gus, he rode his shiny pony(RB) into the ground and took the pressure off of his QB. In the end, his QB, that had the pressure taken off of him by a pounding running game, made a big throw at the end to win it.

Top to bottom, I had no idea what they were trying to do with the stadium experience yesterday. Music between plays was annoying and they always just had to cut it off abruptly right before the snap. I don't understand the point of doing that, just let the band do something.

One thing that struck me as pretty odd, when the team came back for the second half, no one in the stadium cheered. The place was just completely dead. The cheerleaders came out running with the flags and you could hear a pin drop. I was also surprised at how many people left at halftime when it was 10-6. I think the apathy has reached a new level, possibly never before seen at Arkansas.

Agree. I put a tweet out during the game that it felt like I was at a cheap arena league game. I remember going to watch the Twisters in Little Rock way back in the day and that is what it felt like. All we were missing was some stupid mascot riding around on a four wheeler between plays to get the crowd fired up.

Fans have been through a lot(Since 2011). I know as for me, I am tired of forking over money for a piss poor product. I decided yesterday that my football money will now go to baseball and possibly basketball and nothing will go to football. Not until something happens and we start winning. It saddens me, but it isn't just about the money. I waste an entire day on the weekend to watch a not so great product right now. I am just tired of doing it.

I get not running Boyd into the ground against Portland. I don’t think he expected to be in a close game. He said something about wanting to get Starkel in during the 1st half because he wanted him to have meaningful snaps. Turns out there was no mop up snaps.

Going forward if the coaches have any sense the offense will revolve around Boyd and O’Grady. The young wr can flourish if they aren’t the center of attention.

I still think craddock is the problem. There no creativity. We run the same couple of running plays. Why do we even run zone read with a slow arse qb? Plays still take too long to be called. Coaches signaling to the qb to run the same play again instead of spiking the ball....

It's almost like we hired HS coaches instead of ponying up the cash for proven college coaches with winning records. How did anyone not see this coming. frick the administration for trying to go cheap AF on the coaching search.

If Craddock is a failure then I don’t know what Chad Morris is bringing to the table. Craddock is Morris’s lackey by all accounts. If this is Craddock’s offense then we’ve been fed a lot of bullshite. I never understood why a successful offensive coordinator would get a head coaching job and stop doing the one thing that he was definitely good at doing as a coach. Chad looks like he’s watching the games trying to figure out what he’s supposed to be doing.

I've had similar rants before, but we have the worst stadium experience in the SEC, hands down. It was never great over the last 20 years, but the Long administration started this arena league crap and it snowballed from there over a decade. We didn't notice it when we were winning, but it's more apparent now when the on-field product has been and will continue to be arse. We have no band presence, no crowd involvement, no pageantry, and no real traditions beyond the Hog Call.

We've sold our soul to the hyper-corporate, transient culture of Northwest Arkansas and thereby lost our way and our identity. Go to a Hog football game now and you'll see what I mean -- it's become like a social club for people to see and be seen, check in on FB, and snap a few pics for Instagram. It's not something that non-native Arkansans up here really care much about, it's just something for them to do on a Saturday.

I've said this before, but it's beyond me why our athletic department doesn't just identify what all programs do the game day experience well and send someone to those campuses for a game weekend to just soak it in and take notes. It's really not that hard to recon, and it's not some secret sauce thing.
