I've seen many 4 and 5 stars flame out and become busts at UF. I don't know what else to say

A star is a paper statistic.

1998 10-2
1999 9-4
2000 10-3
2001 10-2
That was against a much easier SEC.
With a top 5 FSU and a top 10 Tennessee in most of those years.

Sure, there are always exceptions to the rule, but recruiting rankings tend to be fairly accurate when analyzing on a macro level. Higher stars tend to out perform lower stars, especially when well coached. Talent matters.
