Clemson had an all-time DL and spent half the season prepping for Tua because they play in the ACC and could sleep walk through their regular season opponents with grad assistants coming up with their game plans.
I usually ignore stupid comments but this is one of the stupidest ever. Clemson had a month to plan for their first Playoff game, and probably had the game plan ready in about 10 days, and tweaked it as they saw any injury reports.. The rest of the time they looked at the other two possible opponents and game-planned for them. Then, after the first playoff game was over they fine-tuned their plan for Bama.

No they didn't - and I don't know how many fans on here I have heard that keep spouting that garbage. They did the same thing they have done the past five years for every big bowl game. The first couple of weeks they work on self-improvement/self-scouting. The last week and a half they game plan for their opponent.
I am sure they have a couple GAs or additional staff that spend the entire 4 weeks breaking down film for both future opponents. And I am sure Alabama does the same exact thing - probably even more so.
Bama has actually had a huge advantage schematically/prep wise. Clemson's coordinators haven't changed for three years, and Bama had faced them three times. They have the book on Clemson. Meanwhile Clemson's coordinators and staffs are facing a completely different staff EVERY YEAR.
