LSU Basketball is on your Mind

Well, you are the only team to lose today to the Dominican Republic pick up squad.

Do you instead think we should be talking about other SEC basketball teams today?

We could talk about how Auburn whizzed their pants with 1 second left?

OP was trolling but I think you actually believe the squad they just played stinks.

D.R. national team is ranked #18 in the world (out of 165 ranked teams), just qualified for the FIBA World Cup (only 32 national teams make it in, of which only 7 were allowed from the Americas). It's a very good team that has played together a lot and does pretty well in international competition. Not to mention, it's not like we were playing guys to win the game, it's a damn scrimmage

A few guys were held out, and some of top returning players (Smart, Mays) played less than 30 minutes who are guys who will easily play in excess of 30 minutes a game this season. Wade played a former walk on 10 minutes.

So basically not our A-team playing in their first game ever together in an unfamilar setting, on a different court, under different rules (FIBA), with a former walk on even even grabbing 10 minutes of play, nearly beat a well oiled, much older, Top 20 world ranked national team.
