Everyone loves Corndogs plus the fact that everyone knows Louisiana have the best food in the world or damn close. Its kinda funny plus it didn’t have to originate with us but we are the ones that made it famous.

But in all seriousness, it's not insulting if it's a complete fabrication. It's actually kind of juvenile, akin to children calling each other buttmunches. I think the people that call us that reveal themselves as childish.
