I think he's going to do much better this year. It wasn't simply the direct impact to his playing time (and possible stats) that was impacted, either. The fact that he was being pulled at seemingly random times for most of the season had to have thrown off his rhythm, and having to share reps with the 1's in practice didn't do him favors, either. Having to look over his shoulder at every moment probably both motivated him to work harder (not that he needs help in that area) but also added a bit of stress.

I think being the clear-cut leader and field general for the season will allow him to get the quality reps and practice he needs as well as the confidence to go out and sling it without worrying about being pulled at a moment's notice if he makes a mistake that he will be harder on himself than any coach would be.

That deal did work with Florida in 2006, but Leak was out soon and Tebow knew he would be taking the wheel the next three years.

But it did not work for us and I hope Kirby learns from it. In the end, Fields is gone, just as if he'd only gotten in games at garbage time.

Honestly, I think fields may have been more efficient in the red zone than fromm. That is with fewer reps. And fromm just seemed slightly off last season (hardman struggled getting his feet down or throws often seemed a hair too high).

I expect a noticeable bump in Fromm's numbers. 2+ extra series per game will show on the stat sheet for him personally. Maybe an extra 50 ypg. Maybe an extra 5+ TDs on the year.
