So how much better will Fromm's numbers be without splitting any first team reps this year on Saturdays?

I think it has been understated how good of a teammate Fromm was last season. I think it has been understated the chances for better numbers last year if he wasn't sharing those snaps.

I think he's going to do much better this year. It wasn't simply the direct impact to his playing time (and possible stats) that was impacted, either. The fact that he was being pulled at seemingly random times for most of the season had to have thrown off his rhythm, and having to share reps with the 1's in practice didn't do him favors, either. Having to look over his shoulder at every moment probably both motivated him to work harder (not that he needs help in that area) but also added a bit of stress.

I think being the clear-cut leader and field general for the season will allow him to get the quality reps and practice he needs as well as the confidence to go out and sling it without worrying about being pulled at a moment's notice if he makes a mistake that he will be harder on himself than any coach would be.

We did lose a lot of targets for Fromm, and I'm curious to see what receivers emerge in the next few weeks.

Fromm's potential is largely dependent on WR development, IMO.

Cool 247 article on that: LINK

I'm ready for the Real World: UGA QB Competition story to come out.

I'd say let ESPN and 30 for 30 do it, but the childish nature of Fields and this story belongs on MTV/VH1.

Stat I saw today which is prolly totally meaningless.

Fromm is 0-4 when throwing 30 or more passes a game. 8tds 5int.

He's 23-1 when throwing 29 or less passes a game. 46tds 8int.

New OC, no returning pass catchers of note.

To expect anything other than increased dependency on the run, struggles in the pass game (especially early), and therefore similar or lesser stats for Fromm on the season seems overly optimistic to me.
