TIL that Utah State, our opening opponent, finished the season ranked last year. The third time they've done so since 2012

Random thought but it’s gonna be super weird being on Fox’s version of college gameday for the Texas game

I still can’t wrap my head around this team having anxiety during away games. That shite is crazy.

Alabama is reportedly hiring former Boston College OC, John McNulty, as an analyst. He's a friend of Tommy Rees. He has a lot of NFL experience, as well as college experience. He was fired from Boston College after an abysmal offensive season for this past season. A lot of their problems were apparently due to an injury plagued OL (the OL coach was canned, too). Looks like another Saban rehab, it may help ease Tommy Rees' settling into Tuscaloosa, too, having an old friend around.

ETA: Sorry, my post is somewhat Germans. Oh, well, my post does have a few more bits of info, and a link.

Not entirely Bama football related but Bo Nix is still hung up on Bama even after being at Oregon for about a year and a half:

My personal sauce said that Simpson had a very good day yesterday but that Milroe was phenomenal. Don’t shoot the messenger

I’m feeling sort of bummed thinking about how bad we seem to be now. The last 15 years have really spoiled me. Of course, other parts of life are much more important than Alabama football, but it’s been a real joy to watch them during this run. Doesn’t seem like we will get to feel that national championship feeling again anytime soon.

Re-watched the game (Arkansas). Seems like Arkansas's QB made some plays running the ball and escaping that one sack during the stretch where they scored two touchdowns. Makes me wonder why the QB didn't do that all game. Maybe they found some different plays to run or something like that which worked for a while.

Also, the bad play started later in the game than I remembered it watching it the first time. It really started close to the end of the third quarter. Then at the end Alabama went back to good offense and defense and time ran out.

It was odd how Alabama was able to run the ball for that stretch in the third quarter and then went back to being stuffed on every run. Did Arkansas change how they were playing defense?

I always wonder if it is as simple as "they took their foot off the gas" or if it is more complicated X's and O'x chess match kind of things. I'm just a fan, not a former player/coach so I only know what I see on TV.
