This team is probably the most position-less team Cal will have at UK. No real "true" big man. And as evidenced by last season, depth isn't going to hurt anyone in the post. He'd get plenty of PT at Kentucky.

6'9, 245 SR. Sestina
6'11, 244 JR. Richards
6'10, 225 SO. Montgomery

Yeahhhhhhh, he wouldnt play much 1st year there. You guys have plenty of true bigs.

Compared to us with literally not a single true big on the roster as of right now. I tihnk if you guys already didn't get Sestina it would make more sense, but unless he stays in 2020 hard to see him picking UK right now for 2019.

Neither Montgomery or Richards is a prototypical big. It's the reason they both struggled against Tennessee when Travis went out last season. Both lean and athletic, but not "big" or dominating in the paint. Especially Montgomery (who is 20 pounds lighter than a thin Nick Richards).

From what I've seen of Sestina (which isn't much) he's also more of a finesse guy.

And all three of those guys can slide to the 4 without issue. We have a lot of tall, long guys who can switch position this season.

He wouldn't have any trouble getting PT at Kentucky as a true, physical center. And if he's raw, it'd serve him well to be on a roster where he can develop for a year like PJ Washington did.
