kids? hahah
This might piss you off but, my energy bill hovers around $50 bucks a month. 3 bedroom house. We are in a really shaded area so that helps out inside the house. Even with the AC off it never gets very hot

I was replying... when the power blinked.
Where I live now the homes are built on "gumbo" clay soil. So its a middle class/upper middle class neighborhood where every house has major foundation damage.
I discovered last year that it is cheaper to use space heaters in the winter and fans in the summer then it is to try and use central heating and air conditioning in this home. Because 70% of that goes through the cracks.
I paid 125 last month and this month it will be around 150. Because where I live its far cheaper to just carry a fan from room to room then it is to trust in our central AC.

Are you living in the world of assisted living?

$135 for this last bill. But the next one will be in the mid to high 200s I'm sure. Middle of summer it's usually around $300 and can get to $350.
We did install a new unit over the winter so maybe it will be more efficient this summer.

My first bill was $95. Not too bad but all these fricking visitors (family) is going to boost it up.

thatguy45, I love your posts. Most are hilarious, but you've got to admit..... that "under a rock" bit by Coach C was funny !

About $60 a month. Highest I've ever seen was $87 one month. But I also live in a two bedroom condo so results may vary.
