3/11: Dan Mullen makes infamous comment “I’d think we did a poor job recruiting if guys were coming in and then immediately walking out the door because it was something different than what they thought it would be and we lied to them during recruiting, or we sold them on a dream that wasn’t true" This was widely believed in the press to be a veiled reference to the UGA Justin Fields situation.

4/4: After UGA recently scheduled home and home games with Texas, OU, Clemson and FSU in the upcoming seasons Dan Mullen said "We play Florida State, so people are trying to catch up to us, with how tough our schedule is, to be honest with you," coach Dan Mullen said. "We play Florida State every year, right? Georgia is playing them (now). They’re trying to catch up to us, I guess. Toughen their schedule"

Florida has not played a regular season non-conference game outside the state of Florida since 1991.

4/13: Dan Mullen said he liked to use spring game attendance numbers to troll rivals, but when Florida announced its spring game attendance number of 39,476, a lot of fans and reporters trying to crack the code simply scratched their heads. 8/6: 2018 3* CB J. Huggins status remains unclear after incident involving choking a tutor, and marijuana incident inside his shared dorm room. Huggins has been absent from the team's practices in fall camp, dealing with what coach Dan Mullen described as a family situation. Huggins was expected to be the backup nickelback this year.

Recruiting
To date UF's 247 2019 9th ranked class has lost 5 total players. Removing the five players that will not be on the team UF would have been 17th in the 247 recruiting rankings and 8th in the SEC. (257.73 - 21 commits)

The gators 2020 class sits at #10 in the 247 composite with 19 commitments and a 90.14 player average which is good for 6th in the SEC. UF is quickly closing the talent gap with the top of the league.

Seems like Mullen knows what he’s doing.
