We knocked it out of the park with our AD hire. I feel like we have some solid leadership now and an athletic director that isn't such a bean counter like Long. He's had his missteps, like the every other year deal in Little Rock with Mizzou, but he nailed Mike's departure and the Musselman hire, and now he's made another splash hire with Wieber. Feeling really comfortable with him in charge.

Still in wait and see mode. Looks promising.

I see why. Safe bet with both sides. Yes LR gets an SEC game every other year, but it is Mizzou.

I agree with you … for once.

Dude seems to be hitting on all cylinders. Now, it is still a wait and see mode on Morris. I thing he will get us back up, but less than 6 wins for me this season will cause me to be restless. less than 5 and I am seething, less than 4 and I hope they can his butt period.

On paper, it does seem like he’s doing very well. Now he just needs to grow a pair and fire Bucknam.

Definitely looks promising, but many thought Long was great at one time. I was ridiculed on another board for not buying into his spiel. Long was a White hire, and that was enough reason to question from the start knowing what a deuce White was. So while I havent completely bought in on HY, I'm not seeing the red flags I did on Long either. Just letting it ride.

As for Morris, I expect improvement and that is all. Signs of real life in the team, AND a "team". If they are busting their butts and getting beat, I can live with that. No predetermined number of wins etc for this season. Third season, and I expect much more.

Muss, looks good, but not major expectations in year one except to bust their asses trying. That video of first practice, and having to coach the most basic things, really says allot. Im sure it was selective to show a narrative of not getting the coaching they needed by the previous staff, but still looks like major seed of trurth.

I wonder if the every other year in Little Rock was more him trying to clinch the deal during the hiring process. "Hire me and I'll move one game every other year to Little Rock!"

Though it might be sheer genius on HY's part. If you want to develop a heated rivalry with our neighbors to the North then nothing should do the trick like forcing them to go to Little Rock every two years.

I have a comically binary mental model with Hunter right now.

If he fires Bucknam and hires a winner, I'll fly an appreciation banner over Reynolds.

If he keeps Bucknam, I'll piss on his grave.

I have to disagree, Little Rock fans don't give a shite about Mizzou, and the years we play in WMS there will only be two SEC games in Fayetteville. It's a bad deal.

That's what I thought too. I'm still cautious but I can admit that I'm probably wrong. Hopefully more good changes are on the way.

Dont really care about a gymnastics hire tbh. Lets see how his money sport hires pan out before crowning him

I don't think most do either but it is more about the good sign it shows in a sport most people don't care about. Having said that, he will ultimately be judged by football and basketball. He probably gets a little bit of a pass on Morris no matter what happens but he needs Musselman to pan out.
