OT - Daughter flushed pair of underwear down a toilet - advice?

It's not clogged currently, but should I be worried enough to pre-emptively try and get access to a snake/auger or even call a plumber, or is it likely that a 3 year old's tiny underwear might have passed through without issues? Is there any benefit to acting early other than avoiding possible flooding if someone flushes a clog? This is a first in the household...

You’ve definitely come to the right place.

If you can flush and water flows freely there shouldn't be any clog. Have you done that yet?

do you have any clean outs for that particular toilet you could open it and run a short line snake to see if anything is clogged their

Run the sink in the same bathroom and watch for water level raising up into the toilet (or bathtub if there is one in this room).
If five minutes passes and the water isn't rising in the toilet, or up into bathtub in same room, you are clear.

If they got passed the toliet itself into the pipes of the plumbing, I would think you should be fine. If they didn't I would suspect it would be obvious shortly. Plumbing snake should grab easily if that would happen to be the case. IMO

Unless she is a big old girl it'll be fine. Toilet drains will pass a LOT of shite, literally....if it gets past stopping it up on the initial flush its gone....unless you have some roots or something restricting the drain. You would know before now if the drain got smaller at any point past the toilet because it'd be stopped up all the time.

One time when I was like 12 I sharted myself and didn’t want to tell anyone and I flushed my boxers and no one ever found out til just now. Should be good. Hell I flush Qtips still to this day.

Yeah... I suppose I should have qualified my original statement... My expectation was that it should be ok but in googling, there was a lot of conflicting info.
So far everything ok... Will just keep an eye on it.
Meanwhile, kiddo was dealing with some pretty severe constipation today. Had her soak in the tub for a bit and got that cleared up...
She's just trying to support the diamond daw... I mean Pants Cakers I suppose.

You’ve been waiting a LONG time to get this one off your chest, eh?

I'm glad a warm bath cures your kid's constipation. When mine went through the 2yo constipation phase, nothing worked and we had to basically rape him with a suppository on a regular basis. He's 4 now and still traumatized.
But he can catch fish.

Suppository was next option. Started with epsom salt bath and it was enough somehow.. not gonna lie, I might have cried pushing that fricker out after I saw it. Kid was a trooper.
Crushing the fish though. That's awesome. Re: your other thread, don't have a canoe/kayak, but will see if I can get a hold of a friend's. If so will hit you up. Daughter would probably like it if it's as active a spot as you say.

Did you try taking him to the Varsity?
20 minutes later problem solved. The plumbing is under assault...
Also nice work with the rod and reel...

Glad to know we aren’t the only parents that traumatized our child with suppositories. But damn there were times where it had been 4 days since she had gone and refused to take a dump. It was down to lets see if this suppository works and if not we are taking her to the ER. Never did have to go to the hospital.

There’s really not much you can do at the moment other than wait. If you have a clean-out outside, it’s most likely a one directional flow aka “wye” facing the street. You won’t be able to tell if it made it to that point. If you get paranoid, a plumber could pull a toilet and run a camera. I would camera outside first, if I didn’t see anything, then pull a toilet and camera before clean-out.
