and settles for Sampson, then we all know the AD and tPTB aren’t serious about their basketball program.

Will Arkansas let aTm or Texas outbid them for Chris Beard?

Arkansas is about to make a John L. Smith type of hire.

Smile.

Sampson isn't a settle hire in the least. The dude is a great damn coach. I will be thrilled if we land him.

I was as big a Mike fan as you'll find, but I am excited at our prospects looking forward. Arkansas is about to step their game up considerably.

will be interesting to see if he moves on from Texas Tech

He is divorced and his young kids live near Lubbock. The guy isn't leaving anytime soon.

Yes, because no coach has ever took an offer that had kids in school or that was divorced....

Immediately I think of Jimbo

It was one of the big reasons why he left his job at UNLV after a week.

Texas to Arkansas isn't exactly moving across the country

True, but money talks and he could have a big pay day if he was willing to move. And I am not just talking about Arkansas.

Why would Beard make a lateral move? Arkansas is a dumpster fire where he'd have to start over from scratch and build from the foundation up, while ge's already got Texas Tech set uo. They're in a conference that's going to be easier to win in than the SEC for the foreseeable future.

Literally the one and only single pro that Arkansas has over Texas Tech at the moment is that Fayetteville has better scenery and better hiking.

Where do you get Arkansas is a dumpster fire from? Arkansas has one of the youngest teams in the nation and has talent on roster.

Saying that, Beard isn’t leaving Lubbock.

In our current state, we are and always will be a better job than barn basketball. We are just a good hire away to making the SEC a two team division again....UK and Arkansas.

The potential and support will always be there for our basketball program.

As fans, we can't help it that we've had administration shite all over themselves on the hires post-Nolan.

And a bigger arena, more fans, money, tradition and accomplishments, but yea, that's it. Ironically, the same would be true if you replaced Tech with Auburn.

Isaiah Joe was one of my favorite non-AU SEC players this year, but I don't recall really being impressed with any of y'alls outside of him and Gafford. Dumpster fire was probably a little too strong of a word choice though, y'all weren't terrible but it'd still take multiple seasons to build to the point of competing with the top of the conference

Nobody is saying Arkansas will hire beard. Just need to make a hard push.

I love you bowl.

I mean, they should’ve won at UK, won at LSU, should have won at Texas Tech, beat Ole Miss, etc.

They competed with the top of the league just fine this year at times. Again, not following you at all.
