I don't see anyone from the Dodgers on there. Or the Yankees, Twins, Astros, or Cubs.

The Dodgers have 7 players in the 70s for games played:
1 Muncy, M LAD 1B 78
2 Bellinger, C LAD RF 77
2 Taylor, C LAD LF 77
4 Verdugo, A LAD CF 76
5 Hernandez, K LAD 2B 75
6 Turner, J LAD 3B 73
7 Pederson, J LAD LF 71
8 Seager, C LAD SS 66
9 Freese, D LAD 1B 56
Cubs also with 7 in the 70s, 6 between 74-77 games.
Yankees much more balanced:
1 Voit, L NYY 1B 76
2 Gardner, B NYY CF 75
3 LeMahieu, D NYY 2B 73
3 Torres, G NYY SS 73
5 Urshela, G NYY 3B 64
6 Sanchez, G NYY C 59
7 Frazier, C NYY RF 53
Twins and Astros also with only 4 in the 70s.
Note: Not in disagreement with the premise, just wanted to provide some context on where these other teams sit in player utilizations. Ultimately, if Snit would just give them a game here or there, he'd be right in line with some of the others... As is, we're the only team with 5 players up at the top. The next closest being Boston, Oakland, and Philly with 3 between 78-81 games played.

That extra day off every other week in June, July, and August really pays dividends in September in October.

Yep. See my edit above.

I really dislike that Snit or the FO is not using the quality of the Braves' bench to cycle in off days for the position players. Between Camargo, Joyce, Culberson, and Riley learning the outfield, there is a lot of versatility there.
Agreed.

Exactly. Nobody is saying that our best players should be sitting a game every week. But a game off every 2-3 weeks (depending on the player) could keep them fresh for September/October. Last year Freeman (162), Markakis (162), Albies (158), and Inciate (156) played too many games in the regular season. I think you find a way to give those guys just a handful of strategic days off during the season and you would have been better off. Also has the benefit of keeping guys like Camargo, Culberson, Joyce, etc in a rhythm to get a start every few days.

Hell... more than just a rhythm... keeping them feeling like they're a huge part of the team... rather than just "there in case"...
Not sure wtf Snit is thinking honestly. Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it... or something like that.

I was able to squeeze five votes out of two email addresses.

Acuna scored in the 1st, no homer more of like a lot of errors.

B-Mac blasted one off the scoreboard. 2-0 Braves!

Tell ya what, partner. Frenchy needs to quit calling Chip “partner” because it’s driving me crazy.

Kakes with a 3 run HR.
5-0 Braves in the 3rd.
5-0 Braves in the 3rd.

Markakis's homer is going to make it harder for Keuchel to not make it out of the 5th inning this time.

Imagine if Folty, Newk, and Gaus pitched like they could/should.

God damn Markakis reads this board. Trying to make me look foolish.

Scratching and clawing to hang on for the win. Big win.

Glad they won too, and I read on Kelsey's twitter that Kimbrel is going to be on the cubs' bullpen starting tomorrow.

I hate to say I am penciling this game in as a loss, but with Wilson making a spot start I am not really optimistic.
I heard something a few years ago that made a lot of sense: win 2/3rd of your games at home and 1/2 of your games on the road and you will likely be a playoff team*, so I always look at road series splits as really a win.
Somehow winning today would be fantastic though.
*For anyone interested but too lazy to do the math, that 2/3rds home, 1/2 away win total would put a team at 94.5 wins.
