Nice save by Jackson even though he tried to make us nervous. They go to Chicago to play the Cubs tomorrow night, hope Lester gets smoked.

Always nice to win a road series against a division opponent, but my time living in the DC/NOVA area really allowed me to appreciate beating the Natinals.

sigh.

Camargo is like 7 for his last 10 and still can't get a start.

Don’t know why chip was claiming Julio was pitching a great game earlier. Hitting guys. Base runners everywhere. Giving up a bomb.

Sadly Julio is reverting back to old Julio.

Because Chip is a homer and an idiot.

Not a good combination.

MLB.TV used to have a way to watch the Braves TV feed with the radio audio. When I lived outside of the Braves viewing area that was the only way I'd watch the games.

Yeah Chip and Frenchy are a brutal combo. I watch most games on mute and just listen to a podcast or something.

Going to have to trade for another starter. Would love to get Stroman.

Eh I really can’t complain about them. They are better than what you get on most national broadcasts.

I actually don't mind Frenchy. I really like it when Frenchy and Glavine are together because they dilute Chip.

I didn't know anything about Stroman until the 2017 WBC. After that, I've always wanted to see him wearing a Braves uniform. Maybe AA has some blackmail on dudes in the Blue Jays front office, but the Yankees seem to be really wanting Stroman. He's only signed through this season (but arb. eligible for 2020) so it would really depend on how much either team would be willing to trade for a him.

We aren't really hearing it because of the Mets dumpster fire, but there is some pressure in the Bronx to win a WS this year. As of now, the only decades where the Yankees have not won a WS was the 80s and current one.

I don't know how likely the Yankees would be to trade away prized prospects to another AL East team though.

That makes 3 of our vets (Gaus, Folty, Julio), all with control issues— a problem I don’t think many saw coming.

I guess Wright is getting the start Sunday..?

why would this be the case?

I think the way the rotation is shaping up right now, you are looking at:

Tue: Fried
Wed: Keuchel
Thur: Wilson (this is his day to pitch)
Fri: Soroka
Sat: Teheran
Sun: Fried

I think Wright was brought up to serve as a temporary long man emergency type of guy. If the plan was to start him later this week, I doubt he would have been called up at this time.

I don't think they are ready to injure or demote Teheran right now.

I think the key to this rotation right now is Fried turning it back around. He has ace stuff, so he needs to pitch like it. We need to be able to count on our top 3 of Soroka/Keuchel/Fried every time through the rotation.

My bad, I meant Thursday, the final game of the series, not Sunday.

Did they already come out and say Wilson would get the nod Thursday? The probable pitchers website has it as TBD for Thursday. I saw they brought Wright up.

Is Snit really going to run our position players into the ground AGAIN this year? With Camargo and Culberson (and Joyce for that matter) we have the luxury of guys on the bench that can more than adequately play multiple positions. There is no reason to run our starters out there for 160 games a year.

Someone tell Snit that "everyday player" isn't supposed to be taken literally.
