Hello Good Ole LSU and Kentucky fans.

I hope you enjoy your time in Jacksonville.

I am writing this to give you a quick run down on some places to see/do.

Restaurants/Bars:
Taco Lu's - great mexican place on Beach. Hit up Jax Beach afterwards.
Lemon Bar - awesome bar right on the beach in Atlantic Beach (great place for some day-drinking and hot womenz).
Intuition Brewery - I would avoid this place on game day as it's close to the arena (IT WILL BE PACKED), but otherwise great on the non-game days. I recommend the I-10 and A1A IPAs.
Bold City Brewery - Great brewery with a great selection.
Veteran's United - Great brewery off the beaten path.

Locations:
Atlantic Beach - Older vibe minus Lemon bar -- lots of street parking.
Jax Beach - Younger crowd, great night life.
Town Center - pretty much everything you can think of is there as far as restaurants and shopping, and has a top golf.

All I can think of the top of my head. Avoid downtown except for game day. Downtown is shitty and not worth your time. Stay near the arena on game day.

I can list a ton of golf courses I could recommend as well that's not going to break your bank.

Let me know if you guys need any more recommendations. I look forward to seeing you guys around the next few days.

If it was anyone other than a Florida fan, I would say "put this on the food and drink board", but I have a whole lot of respect for Florida athletics and their fans. Classy folks. Upvote.

It's relevant to the SEC Rant given that LSU/Kentucky fans are likely arriving in Jax tomorrow for the tourney?

Where is the nearest respawn point to the arena? We need to get Wade as close as possible when we send him through after being reinstated.

I used to go to Jacksonville for several games back in the Brunell and Fred Taylor days. It's been a long time since I have been there. Still a Jags fan and now I want to go back. Thanks for the post.

Rules?

No. I don't live there. I work there sometimes (like this week). I definitely wouldn't say it rules, but it does have nice areas.

Definitely the worst "big city" in Florida.

I've lived in Jax for two months and one thing I've learned is traffic on Gate Pkwy and Town Center Pkwy is always, always atrocious

For sure. I generally try to stay away from there. But it's tough given almost everything is there.

There's a decent strip of bars in Riverside too for anyone making the trip. It's just west of downtown

Riverside isn't bad. Definitely the hipster/millennial crowd though.

What about this place?

Didn't Robert Kraft enjoy his visits when he was in Jacksonville?

If 250 miles away from Jax is considered Jax, then yeah!

Good enough for Skynyrd, good enough for me. Wish I could make it.

Well, shite. NFL Live said he went there when he visited Jacksonville. That makes it not funny at all and just dumb now. Thanks ESPN.

I mean, he also visited there on the same day as the AFC championship game (Kansas City). So he flew to Jupiter for a quickie and then to the respective games. I mean how else is a billionaire going to spend his money?
