Nakobe Dean's family's mechanic would be a good source to ask about it. I actually WISH Bama had "played the game"

FWIW, this actually meshes up pretty well with what was coming out of the state of Mississippi from non Bama sources around the time that he signed as well... Originally the figure that was bandied about was a smaller sum of money and a car (about 80k value). Now seeing some chatter that it was much larger number, but still less than Bama paid for Sanders or Auburn paid for Pappoe... so make of that what you will.

Why would Bama need to pay for Sanders, when he's allegedly turned off by the depth chart, thinking Holyfield was going to stay for his senior year?

Out of curiosity....wasn't Dean's parents doctors or lawyers or something? If so, I can't imagine them risking their son's future for a car repair, or a car, for that matter. Maybe I am remembering wrong?
