That's what I'm thinking. No mention of drugs or alcohol.

Potentially could also be similar to what happened with Demariyus Thomas and could be some sort of wreckless driving charge.

5 ounces of marijuana in his car and a gun.

quote:

A search revealed a large glass jar on the front passenger side floorboard containing approximately 5 ounces of marijuana and a handgun from the front driver side floorboard, police said.

While Collins remained in custody, police obtained a search warrant for Collins' home and found two additional rifles, ammunition and less than 10 grams of marijuana.

Felony possession charge, intent to distribute, and gun charge.

I agree 100%, but if you’re in a state where it’s illegal, having 5 Oz in a vehicle with a gun is pretty stupid.

Don’t know if they were or were not legally obtained, but simultaneous possession is a felony in most if not all states. Any weapon that you have in your home can be taken as evidence if drugs are also found.
