Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

They’re just comfortable, casual lace ups that I switched to when I couldn’t wear my old New Balance with blue jeans as an adult.

lol what? Why? They're good boots and are priced about the same as Carhartt. I like Carhartt, just not for boots. Not knocking them at all.

When I was younger and working in restaurants whenever we would hire somebody new that didn't have non-slip shoes (which OSHA requires when working in a kitchen) we would hand them a catalogue for Red Wing shoes, and they were all really cheap like under $50. You ever see anybody working in a restaurant with those ugly plain looking black shoes, they're probably Red Wing.

And maybe Red Wing has some higher end stuff in their actual stores that Idk about (I've never been in one), but I generally associate Red Wing with being cheap and I paid $185 my steel toe Carhartt's 5 years ago

Those boots look nice. Carhartt is expensive as shite on their website. Last time I was looking they had a hoodie for $200+

Yeah, most of their shite is overpriced. The boots are the only thing Carhartt I own other than a t-shirt that was a gift. I have a Wolverine brand jacket that was half the price of the similar Carhartt ones, and I actually like it better.

But for work boots its worth it to me to pay extra for good quality that's going to last.... Plus the place I was working when I got them gave a $125 stipend for employees to get steel toed boots, so I didn't have to actually pay that much out of my own pocket for them

You can’t beat an old pair of jeans, an old t-shirt or polo shirt and a comfy pair of New Balance.
