Well I think theres alot of people that are bama fans because they are bandwagons and just go to the school mainly because of the good football program. But that shouldnt be the reason to go. Many go to bama for the school itself but i have known some people to go just for a reason to be a bama fan.

The largest stadium expansion in our history occurred when Mike Shula was head coach, on the heels of a 6-7 season.

I recently spoke with Tuscaloosa on the phone. Didn’t sound like the brightest guy, but he told me he loved Miami back in the 90s and early 2000s. Then he really pulled for USC up until Pete Carroll left. Now he “loves Alabama, but is starting to like Clemson.”
That should tell you something.

In my experience, most Bama fans (notably all the ones who are from Alabama) are very loyal fans who have followed Bama their whole lives. Then there are alums like me who came from out of state and obviously have been fans since attending school there. Sure there are some bandwagon fans from around the country, just like any successful team has, but I don't think Bama has any amount out of the ordinary.
