IIRC, Kelly was taken off the recruiting trail when Tee was hired. He's had a ton of offers this offseason. It would make sense that he turned down Maryland if he was in talks with Bama although if it's less than DC I'm not sure why he wouldn't have just taken the Maryland job.

From what I read, Alabama and Kelly are close to making this a done deal. Also, UT is staff heavy like you said. They gotta drop someone.

The coach I know said it's really close to be verbally agrees to. Should be official tomorrow
