Statistically, no. He didn't do "pretty well" when he had time. And that's the point. Statistically, when the opposing defense did not blitz, he was middle of the pack in CFB passing. But on passing plays against a blitz in 2018, he was tip fudging top in CFB - and that's the point people have been making since that stat made the rounds a month ago.

I assume this has to do with throwing against fewer defenders in coverage as well as his Oline picking up the blitz well, but the stat is what it is.
