I dont believe there is much evidence of blatant racism or institutional racism floating around in our country. That said I think Cam Newton is an exception. The absolute hate and rhetoric that has surrounded him the last 7 or 8 years has been astonishing. As far as on the field play...

1.He is the most efficient rusher in NFL history...as a QB!

2.He is a streaky passer but you would be lead to believe he is a Hines Ward at UGA level passer when that isn't the case.

3.I do think his career is in jeopardy due to his shoulder issue.

take off your orange and blue glasses. Way more people hate Brady and the Patriots than hate Cam.

Newton is very forgettable outside of the AU family

Is it...selective racism? I mean Dak Prescott is black. Shares many of the same qualities. Took a bad college team and single handedly made them much better. Took a mediocre NFL team and made them competitors. Why don't all the racists hate him as well?

Maybe it has less to do with race and more to do with the fact that Cam Newton is an all-time insufferable douchebag.
