while on one hand I'm happy. on the other I'm betting unless the oline gets significantly better that we will need a backup next year at some point.

Shane will be a great backup for Hurts. 
EDIT: Honestly after going and looking at film on both, Shane would probably start lol. Hurts is obviously a meme but Storey leaving makes me feel really good about us landing Shane. This excites me.

Dee Walker is still technically on scholarship and I’d be shocked if Blake Johnson stays, that should get us over the hump and start clearing the way for us to get 25 next year

Good lord, no KB, Nothing definitive and Storey gone. Best recruiting class in forever but no QB. LOL, this is at least interesting if nothing else.

Hicks? Hicks is the reason Storey is leaving? Surely not....
We have an incredible upgrade in WR's, Defense coming in.... Oline improvement with recruiting as well and we would have Hicks?

I've been thinking that Connor Noland must have passed Storey up on the depth chart. Plus, we are getting the Tejas kid?

Noland 100% passed Storey up. No way was Ty playing meaningful snaps here ever again going forward unless there were some injuries.

He’s not. He’s sticking at Texas through at least the spring and there’s no guarantee that he’ll actually transfer.

I agree that he slid down the depth chart, but I still think that after two departures at this point we are getting a transfer. I think the staff and players knew it awhile back too. Just don't know who it is.

Wonder if the extra year of eligibility has anything to do with that.
