We have been worried about DL recruiting the last couple of years and it is showing now. Unfortunately we will probably be worse on defense next year. Should improve after that.

Pass rush was lack luster all year. Williams was great but that was bout it. You can’t replace your entire secondary AND suck at getting pressure. I’m proud of this team and hate that they laid an egg in the title game. They were better than that score but sometimes shite happens.

I didn't see an arse beating coming, but I did know we were a bit suspect on defense. The lack of outside rushers and the injuries to DB's really hurt us in this game.

Mack Wilson has been hot garbage for weeks now. Not sure what his deal is. Three games in a row he has had a big third down swing pass blown up and just whiffed. At least he's consistent I guess.
Dylan is an athletic freak but he looks like he's confused as to what his job is on every other play. Add injuries to Lewis, Allen, and Miller to that mix and you see the dumpster fire of LB play you saw last night.

I agree with a lot of the points made but I doubt seriously the defense will be worse. For a lot of guys this was their first year as starters in a Saban defense. It typically takes guys more than a season to excel in our defense. Plus, we were working with two very young DCs and both of them are in DC school if you will.

Some of it comes down to coaching. Time to start over on defense. Need better coaches, not just recruiters.

We really missed Lewis this year. He would have been the edge rusher we needed all year long.

It's Davis. Davis was supposed to be the top dog at MLB but since he's on a milk carton, it forces Mack to play out of position, which is a KILLER when you have zero DL depth.
Why hasn't he been sent down to UAB?

Depth will be a major problem next year on the line. Injuries happen and we will likely be playing freshmen there next year.

I agree. Mack is not a MLB . He don't seem to have the vision you need for it.

I really hope this makes us as fans pay more attention to Hudl and the location of the recruits and less attention to 247 when it comes to recruiting. Some of these guys were over-ranked big time.

I think it will be youth more so than depth next season that will be the pivotal issue for the DL.

Hell I would have taken Prince over the shite show we had this year. I can't believe how many bad angles both Mack and Moses took every game . Always out of position.

Where? From top to bottom we had a more talented team than Clemson last night. But, the areas we are deficient in we are REALLY deficient in.
