We gifted them a pick TD and pissed away 25 points on four drives that where had 1st and goal and got 3 points out of those four opportunities. That's 32 points plus a missed PAT = 33 POINTS. We lost by 28. We could've won this game.
I was very disappointed in our defensive plan and calls. Venables did a great job with the variety of disguised blitzes. We were very vanilla, rushing 3 most of the time and showing our blitzes when we did call them. We made it easy for Clemson's offense.
Our goal-to-go offensive play calling was very BAD. This loss was more on our poor job of coaching than the players, imo.

This is the first time I’ve seen Alabama just quit. Even under Shula those players fought up to the very end.

Exactly. Completely uncharacteristic performance.
