They have a point. Only a few fan bases are good with the eye test. As someone who has never had CFB in my favorite sport category; having a committee to choose your playoff teams is hilarious. Put all the value in the regular season, and make conference championship's a requirement. Have two play in games to capture the 4 best teams outside of those. BUT you have to play your way in. You can't get a pass like Bama in 17 amd get a month to heal while UGA and other teams are forced to fight it out.

Ohio State didn't play in a conference title game in 2016 and got shut out.

It's the same "beauty contest" it has always been. There are just fewer voters now.

They need to have a rock solid set of criteria. The "eye test" BS be damned.
