There needs to be a set criteria, and the "eye test" should not be one of them.

Alabama will always have the eye test advantage because of inherent bias. It's the worst point ever made.

The entire selection process is pretty pathetic, IMO.

Why are so many LSUers so eternally butt hurt about Alabama? It can’t be just a result of 21-0 can it?

So corn doggie, just who was worthy of being in the playoffs but was left out the last...oh... ten years or so? It can’t be LSU... if any team looked like they didn’t belong it was LSU ... my god, if you can’t cross the 50 Yd line in the game, maybe Okie State should have been Alabama’s opponent that year.

The committee has done a far better job including “eye test” than any of the computer programs.

How does Alabama have inherent bias when not a single committee member is connected to the University of Alabama?
