Tip of the hat to Mike Locksley

Every now, and then you see someone who handles themselves with class; this is certainly the case with Mike Locksley. Since he was first announced as a candidate for the Maryland job, and up to the present, he has set the bar when it comes to how to handle a difficult situation.
The guy has not generated all of the drama we saw with Lane Kiffin a couple of years ago. He has even avoided contacting players he had previously recruited for Bama. He has just kept his head down, and concentrated on being the OC for the Tide, for one more game.
Best of luck to Coach Locksley, and his family. I know I'll be pulling for Maryland in the future.

Thanks.

Yes, Locks has been first class since being named Terp HC. Didn’t poach Bama’s recruits, didn’t smuggle out photos of our recruiting big board, etc. Some bozos, past and present, should take more of the proper way to exit.

Maryland deserves a good coach after the shite they went through.
Hopefully, it gets better for them (do they play Texas again?)

Ummmmm Mullen did the same thing at Florida when we hired him. Jetted back and forth between Gainesville and Starkville before the BCSMCG and even recruited for us before the big game. To say Locksley set the bar is patently wrong. The Muffin man did it a decade before him.

He lossed his son last year. Was killed and the killer has never been found.

He is my favorite offensive coordinator of Sabans tenure. I really hate that his son was murdered at the beginning of the season last year. He came into practice the next day and Saban basically told him go home and be with your family. He told coach he wasn’t leaving because coaching was the only thing keeping his mind off his son. I’m sure he wanted to go up there to Maryland and take the investigation into his own hands. I wish him and his family nothing but the best up there. Our pipeline in that area just got a lot weaker because Locksely is gonna lock it down up there.

Yeah Locksley has s a fine man and really hope he gets Maryland to the next level in the big10. They have a surprising amount of talent in that state and he is an excellent recruiter. If Jalen leaves I’d love to see him follow Locksley.
