Jacksonville does suck...but so does your team. This is about the best you do bowl wise.

I could think of a lot worse places to live than Jax. We're just so...meh though.

If not for ESPN, 3/4ths of the bowls would not exist. Football just isn't as popular as it once was.

Another reason bowls used to be a big deal was how few games were on during the season before some schools sued the NCAA in the 80s. You'd be lucky to get more than a couple of games every Saturday and it was always the same ole teams.

The aggies stayed at home because they were told it's susceptible to hurricanes.

You are in for trouble with Jimbeax then. He raised hell at FSU fans on occasion due to travel/lack.

They had piss poor attendance in the 2012 ACCCG against 6-6 GT and then against NIU in the Orange Bowl. I don't really blame them though.
They showed up well for the Orange Bowl a few years later against Michigan though.

Yes, but in typical WB fashion you had to wait behind 4 drunks for 2 hours before you got it.

this is a very weird take on this thread

Schools that we have superior attendance to during the year are trying to laugh at our attendance for a pointless bowl game thousands of miles away in a whatever city on new years eve. But we are the ones melting

omg why are people still wondering why turnouts are low... because the best teams are in the playoffs!!! You take away the top 4, then that leaves you with maybe 2 good games and the rest bullshite!!!!

Hard to get people to gear up for Wake, Duke and the like. FSU travels well to big name teams.

You would think that a bowl that's been around as long as the Gator Bowl would have a base of local sponsors that would sell a good number of tickets every year just out of community pride--I've always used sponsor tickets for the Cotton Bowl, and the Texas Bowl sells a good number through sponsors and promotions. But, watching on TV, it looked pretty much just like fans from the two schools and no one else. Somewhat surprising to me.

Tell that to the families of the over 20 Ags who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq or Afghanistan.

There were TONS of Ags in Atlanta a few years ago for the CFA Bowl. I had a blast, but Atlanta ain’t Jacksonville.

Aggies spent their allowance going to watch Bama play on Saturday, rather than going to watch their own team play. Thanks for your support.

Basically when we landed the gator bowl, every aggie I know was disappointed. NC State is a good team, but we were all bummed it wasn't a big name.

Also, new years eve....

So are all those personnel at Ft Stewart, Ft Benning, NAS Pensacola, Nas Jacksonville, McDill AFB, Eglin AFB and Robbins AFB. I guess all the Aggie Grads have Iraq and Afghanistan covered instead, because they sure as hell didn't go to the Gator Bowl. Weak shite.
