This is still one of the single oddest claims that you repeatedly make.

People used to laugh at Bammers for still being loud and obnoxious and cocky even though we sucked - you are arguing the exact opposite, that we somehow became meek and lowly and hid in the shadows.

I guess we just remember very different eras. I used to wish most of the bammer portion of our fanbase would behave exactly the way you seem to remember it instead of running around buying every "GOT ______" tshirt and claiming the next Mike was going to return us to glory.

I have told this story 100 times.

Once more.

I grew up in Florida. We would go up to Birmingham twice a year for family get-togethers. When I was young, it was the bear years. I would see thousands upon thousands of bama things on back windshields/car tags. It seemed 12 out of every 15 vehicles had something bama on it. When I reached adulthood, I didn't go up as much. My Grandma passed away in '92. I had not been to B'ham in seven or eight years. I went up for the funeral. I would drive miles and not see anything bama on a vehicle.

Face it.........your fanbase is as fair weather as they come. I have seen it in the area of Florida where I live. Fifteen years ago there was a smattering of bama stuff.......now it's everywhere.

Not really, I also remember the lack of Bama people during the latter part of the Shula era. That is no myth.
