Sounds like a combustible relationship. He’s hopefully learning a tough lesson.

frick him. I hope the victim's dad staples his balls to his living room floor and sets the couch on fire before walking out the door. Now that's a combustible relationship.

Nice to see that you believe in due process.

Do you have daughters? I have three. Anyone that puts their hands on them in such a manner will be dispatched with extreme prejudice.
frick him.

Yes, also believe in withholding judgement until all facts are known. If he did what’s in the article he will be punished.
Our judicial system is set up so that people need to be proven to be guilty. Until then with partial facts I won’t judge either way.

They both sound like miserable human beings.

In a court of law...yes. This ain't a court of law.
If your daughter tells you a man attacked or beat her, would you tell her "Well sweetie, before I can believe you and have your back, we have to give this guy due process."?
frick that. I've heard enough unless it comes out she pulled a gun on him. I would be shocked if he didn't lay hands on a woman in some form, whether he's convicted or not. Do your investigation and look into it and assuming no weapon pulled on him, boot him.
And yes, it sounds to me like she's got nearly as many issues. Picking him up again after having gotten into an argument/fight? Lives on chaos. But one is a man and the other is a woman.

I feel bad for your daughter if she were ever beaten by a man. Maybe you're a better man than me. Not at all what my reaction would be if it were my daughter.

No I just remember the Duke Lacrosse scandal, which was all a lie.
I have worked the judicial system enough to take a methodical approach to domestic violence accusations, and to listen to both sides stories. As well as review the physical evidence.
If Williams did what he’s been accused of there will be evidence. He will be kicked off the Mizzou team. he will face judicial penalties. And I will judge him harshly.
My slowness to judge shouldn’t suprise anyone. Just look at our discussions about KA and BO. Most of this board made really quick and in season judgments on both. I was more methodical and waited until there full seasons of evidence.

I get it and that's cool. I get it as it comes to Williams at least. I just had a hard time believing you would be that methodical if it were your daughter assaulted.
I get it with the Duke deal, though I think that is night and day different. What I have seen much more often in the judicial system is women get beaten (probably a lot worse than this gal) just to file affidavits of non prosecution because it's their "boo" and the batterer goes on to batter again.

But it’s not his daughter.
No one is rational when it comes to their own children.
I don’t see the correlation here.
That being said, I highly doubt Williams ever plays another game here. At the very least he is guilty of poor judgement

Never said there was a correlation. The only point was that due process is for the courts and that's it. To make that point, I suggested that most dads would not wait until a guilty verdict to support their own daughter. And the decision to support their own child can still be very rational despite you implying (no stating) that the decision to support their own children is not rational.
In fact, when it came to Williams, I said I get it and it's cool. For me, I heard enough when it comes to the privilege (not right) to represent this University.

I would have more information if it was a family member of mine. With what’s out about Williams I can’t really make a judgement at this time. If he’s guilty and did any of the allegations, then I will judge him harshly.

If this turns out to be true, how stupid can you be? He might have just ruined his whole career over some dumb girl

Women know how to push buttons. He won’t be the first guy this week to throw it all away in the moment with a woman.

He could be a thug pos.
She could be lying.
Or most likely she pushed his buttons and he reacted without causing any real physical harm. And now he's going to find out the hard way he can't do that.
Meanwhile we get to act superior and call them all kinds of shite cause that makes us better.
I especially like advocating extreme acts of violence in reaction to less violence cause they makes us less of a thuggish ape.

I would really like to know the behind the scene details about what happened yesterday. It's a huge leap for the PA to go from stating "no charges" to actually filing. Something had to have happened. They had the police report in hand when they issued the "no charges" statement. My two guesses are either the woman's stance on whether to cooperate with the prosecution changed or political pressure was applied from some direction.

Enough time elapsed for the bruising on her neck and torso to develop.
Good thing he didn't cause any real physical harm.

What do you mean by support? Do you mean immediately call the authorities, give emotional and physical comfort or commit assault either in a rage or premeditated? I’m a father of 3 by the way. I’m also old enough to know that there is a lot of gray areas in life. - if she was truly “beaten” and injured and the person was not already in jail or for some reason justice was not served then that may be one thing. - if she calls and says dad my boyfriend kinda hit me as we were arguing and the police have investigated and I went back and picked him up later that night so what should I do- honestly I don’t think I would drive to his home and assault him.
