But from a 30K foot view and as someone that has no dog in the fight, what's everyone's view IF she started it? Is that OK bc she's a chick? IMO it's not.......like the saying goes, "don't want no shite, don't start no shite".

There was no mention of her ever putting her hands on him. He made the choice to escalate the level of force applied in the situation, not her.

If my daughter drives back to pick her boyfriend up after an altercation at a club, I’ve failed as well. That does not diminish the culpability of the alleged thug POS.

I would absolutely not be ok with it. If I was exactly there at the exact time the assault occurred I would have intervened with whatever force was necessary ( yes I am a proud gun owner and advocate for personal protection ). However, hours or days removed from the situation, with authorities alerted and the knowledge that she went back and picked him up an hour later- I think I would be more inclined to provide whatever support would be needed emotionally and to let the police handle it.
Question- given those exact parameters of this case would you really drive or fly to your daughters college town and literally commit assault to right that wrong?

She picked him up after an argument. Is that really that far outside the box? You never got into it with your significant other and reconvened after cooling off to work it out? I'm quite sure she didn't pick him up in the hopes of having the shite slapped out of her while rolling South on Providence.
If you would find satisfaction from plea deal resulting in probation for 3rd Degree domestic assault, good on you.
