They did have two national championships. The first one, USC finished the season ranked number 1. The second one, included losses to Kentucky and Arkansas. It's a life of melt for them.

Don't forget about Florida cancelling the LSU game in Gainsville because of the hurricane. LSU fans bitched about it and called out Florida for being scared to play LSU. Then, they finally rescheduled the game to be played in Baton Rouge instead of Gainsville that year and Florida shows up to Baton Rouge for the game and wins 
Florida even got two straight years in Gainsville out of it after their win in Baton Rouge. Florida absolutely clowned LSU.

Please, we are 9-3 probably 12-3 if you count the three 3 wins and one loss Saturday. We are nowhere close to being broken. We survived real hurricane, floods, Curely Hallman, the Peterson interception, the 1990s of LSU football, and all the different Birmingham’s that have happened to us. In that time we have won national and sec championships and bowl games. It is not like we are a bunch piggies, Aggies, jort wearers and gumps. Without us, the SEC would be boring, we just have more fun in life compared to the rest of ya.... we comin... Geaux Tigers...
