That’s the rumor. Would have to think we’d try to get back in.

Maybe he could even qualify for a hardship

With his injuries, has he even played 4 games this year?

Honestly not sure. He’d have to sit for a year likely anyway so it wouldn’t really matter when he used his RS.

Would have two years of eligibility either way

Plus he's their best big play receiver, but he has had some run-ins with their wr coach and academics.

The story:

Yeah, he’s a hell of a receiver for sure. Big time deep threat.

That says something about him transferring to Illinois.

BO, Ford and Ofodile need to get on the horn and save him from that huge mistake

I've always liked the talent. I question if the apparent head aches are worth the while. Did he ever screw up not coming to Mizzou? Imagine the numbers he could have with Lock throwing to him. I think he has like 560 yards at Miami. I think he'd be close to a 1000 yard receiver if he came here and had Lock throwing to him.

With a fresh start, maybe he will attempt to attend classes for a year. He will want to be in a position to start, which he can at Mizzou. But we have QB issues unless we get the Clemson transfer.

But you're right, with Lock throwing to him he would be a national star.

He's already a national star. He would have had more yards at Mizzou. On the field the kid is big time.

Yeah, he's such a star that he's not on the Biletnikoff watch list and they have about 50 kids on there. He would be leading if he was at Mizzou. Especially with a top QB prospect throwing to you and getting national attention.

Can you imagine Thomas on one side, Hall on the other with O in the middle and Lock throwing to them?

Goodness...

Is this the freaky fast kid who was getting attention back in 8th grade?

Neither was Denario if you remember. Can't judge exclusively on college awards.

And as for next year's QBs, I don't know that getting Bryant would mean a better passing game than we would have with Powell. Running game? Big difference. Passing game would possibly be better with Powell.

OK, so assuming he is not interested in going to class for 2 years (which history says he isn't), then the only way he helps any team is Miami and the NCAA have to sign off. Otherwise he trains with the team, stays in shape and leaves for the draft in 2020. Similar to DGB at OU correct?

He has played in every game this year. He has one TD in conference play. When the field is short and teams can press him, he disappears.

His effort is inconsistent as well. When he knows the ball is coming his way you get max effort. The other 60 plays a game are questionable, especially when he is asked to block his position.

And would have eased the struggles we had with Hall out.

If Richt says no, then it's usually best if Mizzou says no. Maybe a Dorial v2.
