This whole fire Muschamp crap is wild, so ill drop some optimistic shite on you guys.

Our program, when it was inherited by Muschamp, had one of the lowest roster levels we have had in a long time. It was a program filled with 3 star talent that looked like heroes in our eyes occasionally only due to no one else rising to the occasion. Blue chip ratio around 17-18 percent (lower ACC level). Alot of talent started to transfer, and there were more 2 star talents on our roster than 4 star talents.

After this year, there will be a big jump in talent. Our last 2015 guys are leaving (I know that you like alot of these guys, but guys like Montac and Fenton do not have the ceiling that we are replacing them with), and Muschamp is replacing them with a higher average than we are used to. Our lowest recruits are what our average used to be and our blue chip ratio has already doubled to around 35 percent which is on par with Tennessee and Florida. This next years class should bring it up to 40 percent.

It takes good players to win games like florida. A veteren DC figured out how to stop us, and we dont have the talent and size to stop them. Guys like fenton, montac, and our line backers are just bouncing off their players. The talent level has to increase first.

Last year took everyone by surprise with 9 wins but that was a literal miracle that we slipped and fell into. Last year that team was a 6 win team.

TL;DR. Everything will get better. We have our highest rated QB ever coming who has the talent level of Garcia but the mindset and work ethic of Lattimore...and our first 5 star in 5 years in Zacch Pickens. Our Dline is going to be nasty very soon too.

Just be patient and stick by our team.

Can he hold onto this recruiting class, and can he actually improve his gameday coaching are going to be the biggest questions going forward.

That is true...

3 years is obviously way too soon, gimme 6 in this current age of college football.

If we are not where we expect to be going into year 7.... the board needs to take a long hard look.

Also wonder where Ray will be at that point.

honestly I give him to 2020. 2020 he should have a fully class of his recruited guys, a stable QB, atleast a 45 percent talent level (3 times the amount he started with) and we will have to start basing his coaching skills vs what hes working with.

I truly believe half of the issue here is talent level of players. and we are still only losing by a couple points here and there. Florida and A&M have more talent than us and UGA has 3 times our talent.

Fair.

Obviously needs the talent, lets see what he can do longer.

I'm fine with Florida getting rid of him that's a different animal. And contrary to popular belief, I don't think the majority of fans would like him back and I don't think he was the right hire or fit for that job.

I would like to add frick the media. Bunch of shite for brains idiots. Now they're trying to put words in Champ's mouth regarding DJ Durkin coming to SC when Muschamp NEVER even so much as hinted at it in his presser. Kendall and Kornblutt need to stuff each other's assholes to keep themselves occupied and quit with the theatrics. And they wonder why ppl have no use for or respect for them.

He's a pretty talented defensive mind. There's no room for him on the staff, unless T-Rob walks off, or Thompson/Hutzler leave. We'd be lucky to have him, though it would cause negative recruiting and would be ugly by the press.

Look — There is no denying that Muschamp can recruit. We knew when he was hired that he’d replenish our roster with talent, and he appears to be succeeding at that. The issue, IMO, is his gameday coaching and decision making. It is basically exactly what we had heard about from UF fans when he was hired, and most of us - including myself - believed that he must have learned from his mistakes.

We had Florida beat. There weren’t any veteran decisions made by Florida’s staff to cause a 17 point swing late in the game. Our team had a working formula, and we abandoned it, plain and simple. They were gashing us the entire game, and the only thing that changed was the playcalling on O. Bentley looked great all game, yet Denson and the RBs got more carries, and we let them get back into it. We were the more talented and better-coached team for 3.5 quarters.

UGA and Clemson experiencing meteoric rises since Spurrier left shouldn’t count against Muschamp’s record vs top 25 teams. They are simply supremely talented squads. But the fact that our team looks bewildered and unprepared anytime we play them and the likes of UK, A&M, and this Florida team should matter. People didn’t really criticize Spurrier during the 7-5 seasons because at least our team looked prepared out there (usually).

I’m not in the Fire Muschamp crowd yet, but he’s gotta change the way our guys prepare for and finish big games. Clemson is already a foregone conclusion, so I guess we’ll see what happens in 2019, but I’m definitely feeling skeptical.

Muschamp is a transitional guy brought in to restore rosters and set the next guy up. That’s all he is to me now.

If he has more success than expected in the meantime, cool.

It's a hard lesson to learn, for any coach. Think back - Kentucky 2010, Tenn 2013, Missouri 2014, Tennessee 2014...and those are just off the top of my head, I know there are more prior to 2010, and that was a Hall of Fame coach. No one likes losing games like that, but they happen. So let's have a little perspective and not rebel on the coaching staff just yet.

Really should be at least at the 8 win plateau same as last year, not 7-5. I did not expect to see this years team beat Georgia or Clemson. But at least beat a Kentucky or Texas A&M Which the Gamecocks have not beaten A&M yet. and really losing to Kentucky now 4 years in a row. Kentucky will lose a ton next year will and should be beatable for the Gamecocks to end that skid. Florida was disappointing that could affect the Gamecocks in a negative way. Defining wins, Gamecocks do not need defining losses.,Florida, Tennessee in recruiting has improved and the Gamecocks are holding steady in the top 20 putting the Gamecocks I think around 11th in the SEC. Hopefully, Gamecocks can finish strong in recruiting may just maybe finish around 16 or 17 in standing when all said. Please don't tell me 5 and 4-star payers in recruiting doe not matter. It does if you want to win SEC and Natty champions ship Just look at Bama. Clemson, Georgia and just look at their talent of 4 and 5 stars.

What matters is getting the right 4 and 5 star players that will put the program on the map and be able to retain over the years not just a coble and puff you are gone. Muschamp needs time. Man, I was sick when they hired him. But he has really improved the offense, But he needs to step back and not let the offense go conservative. On defense, That is really a mess right now. Some of the problems are injuries along with proper depth and talent which is looking better in the future. 2020 is the key recruiting year need a top 10 class. This is looking like a possibility right now with the commits he has and the Gamecocks are in involved heavily with other top talents. Just go 7-5 go bowling enjoy the Bowl game. Hopely Gamecocks will have a weak opponent and be 8-5. Just one more arse kicking to go when the Gamecocks go north upstate to face the Taters and that will suck but I am ready to face it. but really should have beaten A&M or Florida. So I disagree but Boom does need more time. We might be surprised in a good way folk. Just think next year Bamma, Clemson and Georgia all three are or will be in a position to win a natty this year. All three the Gamecocks face off with next year. Really looking forward to next year? As always there will be fans in August saying the Gamecocks will have 9, 10 or more wins in the 2019 season. Please, you are just setting your self up for a big let down and wanting to fire everyone wanting to know why they couldn't. Changing coaches now would only hurt. Not time to give up the time to put pressure on the big boy's that control the power and money to make things happen as they did in tater land.

Thanks SEC front office. How many wins over Arkansas would we have had in the past 5 years?

Tanner should REALLY be pressing the league office on our cross division "Rivalry".
