Could it be the same injury as last year?
Either way...bet the house on USCe to beat us and the under against FSU

Yeah, his dad confirmed that it was a broken foot. It could be the same.

Not sure I can watch another game of Franks shitting the bed. Feel really bad for Trask, hope the injury isn't too serious.

Feel bad for the guy as he may be done now at UF
He may not be able to keep up with the Jones’

He'll be back in Spring, I'm not sure I can say the same for Franks unless he really, and I mean really, turns things around.
No way he beats out Jones unless he learns to either run or pass the ball above average.

Even if Emory doesnt play, hes now getting more reps with the 1s in a backup role at least. Gives him a leg up next season. Jalen is supposed to be the real deal. Honestly i dont see either Franks or Trask playing much if they stick around

Trask might have another year, Franks does not. Either way, in 2020 Jalen is probably going to start even over Emory.
Jalen is a monster.

Should we even worry about Emory’s redshirt at this point? If Jalon is 100% committed to the gators and is actually as good as advertised, why not play Emory out the rest of the season?

I guess depends on his knowledge of the offense. If hes able to lead it then let him loose

Personally, I hope Mullen was smart enough to be teaching Toney as a gimmick QB. Quick pitches, read options, quick throws and the occasional bomb. Muschamp is awful at defending gimmick offenses, but he is very successful against guys like Franks who drop back and have to pick the right QB.
I'd definitely let Emory go play, though, even if he doesn't have a lot of experience -- because Jalon is definitely as good as advertised.
He carries the ball pretty badly, but:
He literally runs the fastest 40 in the country for dual threat QBs.
He is literally a speed DB/WR who can also pass. 28 - 5 as a starter, I'm ready for it.

If Jones is ready to play and gives us the best chance to win, I am confident that he will play. I trust the coaches to make that decision. go Gators!

I don’t get giving up on Emory so quickly and assuming a recruit rated lower than Emory was is auto going to be better. Feel like people are selling Emory short here. I’d like to see him get two real games in honestly. Let him play South Carolina and the bowl. See what he can do in two full games.

It's not that people have given up on Emory, it's just that Jalon is an extremely capable Quarterback and even if he's ranked below Emory, it is not an accurate assessment.
Like I said: Jalon is a freak athlete who can also pass pretty well. It's kind of weird because it's hard to find their statistics but Jalon was hitting around 64% of his passes, Emory was way lower around 50% in high school.
Emory's decent, maybe even pretty good, but Jalon is a freak and will likely get another bump later on, Anthony Richardson needs to play a lot better.

well shite. wish we didn't have franks on the team tbh. just play kt and run the fricking ball. mullen did a great job with chris relf at qb while at state.

If Mullen was smart, he's been giving a lot of attention to Toney in case of this situation. Because really, if the idea was to RS Emory no matter what, Franks or Trask going down makes it impossible to run the offense as he wants to.

I hate to see a year wasted on Emory, he could be a frosh next year and have 4 yrs to play. He just may not be ready at this point but he should play in 2 games and hopefully can give us a jolt. Coach Mullen knows more than us or anyone what his plans to do. It sucks for Trask who cant catch a break and may not play for another 2 years. He might qualify for a sixth yr redshirt with the medical issues.
