UGA's run defense is a bit questionable this year so far. Not saying it sucks but the standards you laid in this thread are real high.

UGA isn't very good at ILB.

Our run defense isn't as bad as the numbers appear. We are playing 2 high nickel defense a lot against 11 personnel. We are basically giving the offense numbers and letting them drive on us until they run out of room (many times, they shoot themselves in the foot and kill their own drives).

We went single safety against Kentucky and stuffed both Snell and Wilson. That doesn't mean our ILBs are good. But a lot of our stats are based on scheme.

If we were fully healthy on both lines I’d feel like we could be competitive but as of right now our already thin DL is missing 3 guys due to injury and we may not et them back for the rest of the year. Even if we can keep it close, it’s going to turn into another case of Bama running down our throats late because we don’t have the depth to hang, nevermind Tua and the Bama receivers being fat better than any previous meeting between the two teams. Just not a good matchup for us.

Georgia is constantly changing from game to game right now. They are a good bit better now than they were two weeks ago. Lots of Freshman played more prominent roles in UK game - ILB Channing Tindall(sack), OLB Brenton Cox(sack), OLB Adam Anderson / these guys could develop quickly over next four weeks and had mostly been relegated to garbage time until last week.

Certainly Bama is the better team and will be but the gap very well could be smaller by the time we get to SECCG.
