Alabama (-14) over LSU
This could end up being the most impactful regular-season game in the 2018 college football season. We have the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, and this figures to be by far Alabama’s biggest test of the regular season. But how big of a test will it be? LSU is 7–1 overall and 4–1 in the SEC, highlighted by the 20-point win over Georgia in mid-October. But this is also a team that lost at Florida and had to rally to beat a mediocre Auburn team. Alabama, on the other hand, has barely broken a sweat en route to an 8–0 start. The Tide’s closest game has been a 45–23 win at home against Texas A&M. Alabama is simply too good. Alabama 34, LSU 17

Alabama at LSU
Current Spread: LSU +14.5
Spread Prediction:
In a game of top-four teams, Alabama is still a two-touchdown favorite on the road.
That tells you just how much Vegas thinks of the Crimson Tide.
I think this game could be close, but I’ve made a promise to take Alabama with the points until they prove me wrong.
I’m going to take Alabama -14.5 against LSU. If Tua is healthy, I think the Crimson Tide could take control of this one early. If he’s not, though, all bets are off.

tl;dr...the only living creature who thinks LSU wins is Clucko the Chicken.

Every one of those pole-smokers gushes over how mighty Gump U. has a great offense, but dismisses the fact the LSU will be, BY A WIDE MARGIN, the best defense they will face.
They also ignore that the defense of said team from Gumpville isn't like those of days gone by.
History says this will be a nail-biter. We shall see.
