He wouldve came. The guy who has Washington fricking state in the hunt to win the pac 12 couldve been put coach but too many people cared about the fact that hes a little odd and eccentric to give this genius the keys to the bus. Fml

His first 3 years at Wazzu.

2012 Washington State 3–9 1–8 6th (North)
2013 Washington State 6–7 4–5 T–4th (North) L New Mexico
2014 Washington State 3–9 2–7 T–5th (North)

We'd be calling for Morris' head after 2 3-9 seasons in his first 3 years.

For the 100th time, give it up with Leach. There are reasons behind Lubbock and Pullman being where he’s coached in his head coaching career.

You would’ve wanted him fired after his first year with our current players especially at WR and QB, he wouldn’t be recruiting at an acceptable level either.

Leach would get exposed in the SEC and he's a shite recruiter. Everyone would be calling for his head after the first 2 or 3 seasons anyway. He didn't exactly light the world on fire at Wa St the first couple years, with his losing records.

We could've had Mike "badass" Gundy too if it wasn't for the GOBN.

The Pirate would be worse than Chadillac.

CCM is recruiting at a high level here with a complete shite team. He is about to take us to new levels of recruiting.

We need strong Texas ties and they don't get any stronger than with Morris.

Be patient.

This.

If you are complaining about morris mid-way through his first season of a 2-3 win season, chances are you'd do the same to leach if he posted a 3 win season his first year. We are starting behind by nearly a decade in terms of sec west caliber recruiting

Good grief. Our last 3 coaches are John L Smith, Bert, and Aggy Bert. Doesn't appear that we are a destination job.

Enh? Bert was coming off 3 Rose Bowls when we landed him. It was considered a major coup for us to get Bielema. Granted he didn't work out but its ridiculously revisionist to say he was a nobody before he came here.

And John L. Smith was an emergency hire that everyone knew was an emergency hire.

Relax a little bit.

Leach wouldn't make it three seasons. He would have been a disaster.

Pac 12 is extremely down right now which explains some of his success. Yea, Washington is decent but everyone else sucks arse.

He would be a massive failure here.

Bert was an underwhelming hire. Rumors were swirling about Patterson or Gundy level coaches. Hell even James Franklin was looked down on by our fans when his name got mentioned. Bert was not in the radar and most of the fanbase was disappointed when he was named.

Let's go back farther.

Petrino was a great hire, but we were lucky to get him. If a bigger SEC had been open then we would not have hired him.

Houston Nutt. We hired a coach that had experience at Boise St and Murray St. He turned out to be a better hire than most give him credit for, but he also did it while Bama was down.

Danny Ford. We hired us a coach that cheated at Clemson and had been out of the game for several seasons.

Ken Hatfield. We hired Ken Hatfield instead of Jimmy Johnson. Ken wasn't an awful hire, but Jimmy was a better coach.

Face it. We have spent damn near my whole lifetime hiring small name/ no name coaches. It's alright with me. I still believe Morris is going to turn it around. He recruits too damn well not to.

this. Morris is the best recruiter in texas. when we start winning our recruiting will go up and up. if we can get to the 3rd overall destination for texas kids:
1 texas
2 oklahoma
3 arkansas

we will get back to the glory days. if we can win the sec west we can get to #2 or #1. if Arkansas can lock down Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Memphis, northern Louisiana, and Mississippi we can have a dynasty.

I'm not sold on Morris, but you're comparing him to a coach who is in his seventh season at a program. Leach's first season was eerily similar to Morris' first season here. Leach inherited an under talented roster that didn't fit his offensive philosophy and he inherited a soft loser culture that he was tasked with changing into one of accountability and success. During the season, WSU's "better," veteran players were publicly questioning the coaches, not buying in, leaving the program, and one accused them of abuse because they were mean and hurt his little entitled feelings. That team limped to a 3-9 record and endured multiple blowouts. In fact, it took Leach an additional 3 seasons to flip the culture, flip the roster, and get them rolling. I'm not sure Arkansas will be that patient with Chad.
