Who would you put in there over Mond? Stark-turnover? Blumrick? Foster? True Freshman Calzada?

Kelly Bryant
But I think for this year Starkel deserves a look. I know he is a statue but he reads defenses so much faster and can actually put touch on his passes. Mond reminds me of Steven McGee his senior year w/how long he holds the ball.

With THIS offensive line? He'd get killed.

We have way bigger issues than Mond. The defensive backfield is the worst bunch in the SEC, shame it's wasting what is the best DL we've had in years

Yeah I don’t think it’s discussed, I feel like the OL has got worse as this season has gone on. Injuries obviously haven’t helped at all.

Our only good offensive lineman is the center.
I would hope that McCoy is the only one of the four non-senior starters that retains his job.
I would have a starting line next season of:
LT - Grayson Reed
LG - Kenyon Green
C - Erik McCoy
RG - Tank Jenkins
RT - Colton Blanton
Carson Green, Dan Moore, Ryan McCollum and Jared Hocker would only play in garbage time IF THAT.

I don't care what the TD/TO ratio is. He can actually throw passes worth a damn and Mond can't. The season is lost and the offense will at least have a deep threat with him. Not a single team we have played in SEC play respects Mond's passing game. Not one. That has directly led to the death of our rushing game which has killed the offense.

You mean a deep threat that can't catch a pass that hits them in the hands? A deep threat that can't properly run a route?
Kendrick Rogers fricked over a wide open touchdown.

Or maybe the ball was thrown a scotch late with not enough touch?
Never mind that it's hard for our WRs to judge his deep shots (and all of his passes really) b/c he is so erratic with his accuracy.

How much does our cesspool of an offensive line have to do with that?
Mond is currently at 60% completion.
Nick Starkel was EXACTLY at 60% last season.
Trevor Knight was at 53% in 2016.
Kyle Allen was at 57% in 2015. Kyler Murray was 59%.
Kenny Hill was at 67% in 2014. Kyle Allen was at 62%.
So let's talk ACCURACY. Ranking the accuracy of our quarterbacks in their most recent season since Manziel left:
1. Kenny Hill 2014 67%
2. Kellen Mond 2018/Nick Starkel 2017 60%
4. Kyler Murray 59%
5. Kyle Allen 57%
6. Trevor Knight 53%

Not as much as you think b/c this circles right back around to how slow Mond is to read the D and get that ball out.
Snap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap... Steven McGee... incomplete.
Mond flat out does not run the ball enough to make up for his mediocre passing. If he would run the ball more on designed plays it might be different. He doesn't so it isn't.

Kellen Mond is a poor man's Jerrod Johnson.

Accuracy in this offense can't really be compared to the accuracy of an offense under Bubble Screen Spavital.

Oliver and Renfro just rip my heart out of my chest every game, show it to me, still pulsating, then stomp on it.

weird game to be picking on mond

So let's talk ACCURACY.
Starkel and Mond could have the exact same completion percentage and Nick would still be the more accurate passer. Accuracy is more than completion percentage. Just b/c the ball was caught does NOT mean it was an accurate pass. You know that but it's not a stat you can fart out to make skewed definitive proclamations like you like to do.

Starkel has shown the remarkable ability this season to accurately put the ball in the hands of a defender.
