How if two players (White/Ftitzgerald) be defenseless if they are looking at each other face to face?

Fitz fakes forward like he was about to run (which he had done all game), then pulled up and snapped the pass off quickly as White was running straight at him. “Defenseless” was extremely bordeline in this situation

The hit doesn’t even quality as roughing the passer

Any player passing or who has just released a pass is defenseless. Him being defenseless isn't borderline at all. The call was certainly questionable, but that part of the ruling wasn't.
