Moo State, as a drunk LSU fan...

I like your HC hire. I think Moorehead is a great addition to list of SEC coaches. Given this is year 1 in the P5 as a HC, I think he's proven himself a force to be reckoned with.
I think the outcome of this game hinges on 2 things:
1 ) If LSU will give yall the attention you deserve. Moo State is a quality team that can hang with any bigtime program. If LSU is asleep, ya'll can, and likely will, steal one here.
2) If Moorehead can adapt to and handle Death Valley. This will be his first experience in a big time, night game environment as a HC in the SEC.
I envision problem 2 actually being the deciding factor in this game.
Either way, I anticipate a quality, physical, hard-fought game with a nice chess match happening between Moorehead and Aranda.
Fellow baws, do not overlook Moo State. Night game helps us get the win here, but style points in the win depend on how awake our Tigers are.

I honestly don’t even get this “don’t overlook State” line of reasoning. We beat y’all by 30 points last season and brought almost everybody back. We have a first year head coach that tried to throw too much and put up awful offensive numbers against KY and FL, but then changed his ways and proved against AU that we can still play the way we did last year.
Overlook? That implies that we’re an underdog. Vegas might agree. But I’m telling you, that’s absolute poppycock.

Very nice breakdown of the game. I agree with both points. Hoping for a good competitive game!

As a drunk State fan... I don't think (1) is an issue. I also don't think (2) is an issue as we've already played at Kty (which was an eye opener for him) and then an emotional home game vs Fla.
To me the big things are:
1) can Moorhead adjust and focus on a greater run/pass ratio while being creative in the run game. I think we can all agree that Fitz, while a great athlete, isn't a great passer.
2) Aranda is a really good DC, we all know State will try to run the ball. Will the LSU DLine/LBs be able to hold up? (assuming State commits to running).
3) I think the State run D is solid, but pass D hasn't been tested as much. -IF- Burro gets time, will LSU be able to hit a few big pass plays. Grantham gave these up every game last year. Shoop has limited that (so far) this season as State's DC.
Here's to a good game.
Also, please keep Coach O.

Good Lord keep bringing up last year like it matters... Two completely different teams than last year. This is all based off of what has happened this year. You might not want to admit it, but MSU is the underdog in this game. Personally I wish LSU was the underdog. They do pretty well when doubted.

Why? LSU fans bring up the series record every other sentence?
