If it’s a sprain then the remedy should be rest. If it’s a torn meniscus then it’s going to hurt until it’s repaired but even that can be put off. I tore mine a few years ago. Couldn’t bend my leg for a week, hurt to walk on it for a month, but eventually it only hurt if I was trying to fully bend it. I walked 60 miles through the Appalachian mountains last spring on a knee that’s never been surgically repaired.

I honestly hope he sits this week and the bye week out entirely then starts taking reps in practice during LSU week. 2 weeks of staying off the leg and getting treatment will go a long way towards getting fully healed if it is indeed a sprain. If it’s a torn meniscus then it’ll go a long way towards pain reduction, but that will be an injury that can flare up at the slightest knock going forward

I think my biggest takeaway is that even in the worst case scenario he is almost certainly going to play against LSU at the very at least 75-80%, outside of some massive flare up from a scope (if that happened) or that it turns out to be worse than they thought.

So, not even close to the end of the world. Win this weekend with or without him, get him ready, good to go in Baton Rouge.
