We have to start dealing with injuries better.

Sending Tua out there last night was very dangerous for his knee. I don’t understand playing around with something like that now that we know what the actual injury is. I believe in Saban but this is one thing I just can’t agree with. He can be a little too old school sometimes.
EDIT: I don’t want to pretend I know all the info they had before the game that might have affected their decision making. I’m just saying it looks bad from an outside perspective.

Shite man, I’m not trying to be a jackass. I’m just saying it doesn’t look like they made the right decision.
Edited to change thread title. It was too harsh.

What was the actual injury?

More than likely, they gave Tua the option of getting scoped or trying to play with it.

I"ll pass the word along to the Coaching staff.

One poster a few days ago said he wished Tua would learn to slide. Maybe it was the awkward slide that aggravated it.

The slide looked pretty clean to me. It was weird how it aggravated the knee. There no awkward contact at all

He was probably told if his knee locked up to stay down.
I doubt he did any additional damage.

You don't know the details of the extent of his injury. The doctors advise the players and their parents of the situations and risks associated with playing. Saban doesn't have the authority or any incentive to play someone who shouldn't play.

I'm okay wirh sending Tua out in a game we need to win.
What I'm absolutely not okay with is the fact they had him practicing hard on it all fricking week. And for Saban to get up there and say, "Oh it's nothing. Just a knee"
He said the same shite after the game.

bullshite. The doctors tell Saban when a player is physically able to play. Saban makes the call relative to the risk of reinjury, and always pushes the players back asap.

QBs aren't like every other player. They aren't getting hit every down. They don't get hit at all. Practicing hard for Tua is throwing the football and moving around in the pocket.

Were you at practice?

You are assuming Saban does that despite the fact that it's illogical for him to that. And you state that he does that as though it's a proven fact. You think you know more about what Saban should do than he and the experts he has at his disposal know. You do that incessantly. The reality is that you don't know jack shite. You are one of the worst and most obnoxious posters on this board. The only things you're good at are talking out of your arse and beating dead horses.

I'm not assuming. This is exactly what happened in the Spring. Saban made the call to rush Tua back for the spring game instead of letting his hand heal, and he reinjured it.
Same shite here.
I also said Saban should've started Tua last season midway through. I guess I didn't know jack shite then either. You idiots act like Saban as infallible. He's an old football coach from West Virginia. I think he's clearly really smart. But he's not a genius. He's not God almighty. A lot of people have higher IQs than Saban.

I did contradict myself. It’s just a frustrating situation and it’s hard not to overreact.

Then why did you do that very thing?
