Alabama scored a TD on this play. No flag was thrown.

Here's the clip for the idiots saying it's just a snapshot making it look like a hold.

Oh I know this had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but rewatching the highlights I cannot believe that didn't get called. He literally has him in a choke hold.

They never do. They have the refs bought and paid for!

I’m not joking.

Well, kind of.

But Arkansas has been getting better every week and has a realistic shot to compete in and potentially win in all their remaining games.

Now that the TAMU-Arkansas game is behind us, I’m pulling for the Piggies.

Would love to see y’all beat Ole Miss and LSU.

I commented on that exact play in the game thread (I think) when it happened. It was shown in slow-mo replay and the TV announcers didn’t even comment on it. I was rather shocked, but I guess I shouldn’t have been.

#REC doing work

Well-coached defensive linemen, when held, grab a hold of the holder's fingers and start breaking them. No more holding.

Maybe yall need a new DL coach.

Alabama's opponents don't get called for holding either

Don't think anyone tracks specific penalties publicly but I'd be willing to bet Alabama is dead last in the conference in opposing holding calls over the past four or five years.

Cole Cubelic, a former AUBURN player and now radio and TV host, nearly blew his stack when a caller today called about this very play.
He emphatically stated that this was NOT holding and please don't take still photos and submit them as "holding". He stated the Arkansas player worked a spin move that made this appear to look like holding.
Oh, and Cole is basically the offensive linemen guru of college football media.

Classic split-second screen grab of a trenches grappling incident, of which there are hundreds in a game, that supposedly clearly illustrates holding. This pic proves absolutely nothing.

P.S. Penalties:
Bama 5 for 31 yards
Arky 2 for 20

They do keep track!

Penalty Stats

In 2016, Alabama opponents were the least penalized in all of FBS college football. DEAD LAST!

Last year - a little easier, Alabama was up to 124 of 130, so 5 teams managed to have opponents penalized less than Alabama.

This year has been much better for Alabama so far. Currently #62, about half way.

LSU, the ones who cry about penalties the most - #1 this year for opponents being most penalized.

Worked a spin move?

I saw it in real time. #3 was getting past the O lineman and the O lineman wrapped him up.

Here’s another look:

Yeah, no. He had his arm around his neck before the lineman ever attempted to spin. As soon as Agim got outside of him, he wrapped his arm. Agim didn't even attempt to spin until he had been forced behind Tua. That radio host could not be more wrong. That is 100% holding.
