Bielema's 2017 recruiting class

I was looking back at some old recruiting classes, and holy cow this one is bad. Bielema essentially took a year off in recruiting by signing that class, and no wonder we're in the shape we're in now. This class was ranked number 27 in the country by 247, but almost all of the higher end players busted or are yet to contribute. A lot of the players have already left the program. It rivals Petrino's 2010 class in both regards, and it's no coincidence that we were bad shortly after that one too. Let's take a closer look:

Chevin Calloway - 4*. Left the team earlier this season. Bust

Montaric Brown - 4*. Jury is still out, but he's already been beat out by a freshman in Foucha and will have a hard time seeing the field with the talent we're bringing in at his position.

Brandon Martin - 4*. Already left the program. Bust.

Jeremy Patton - 4*. He's really mediocre, and definitely didn't live up to his star rating. Bust.

Chase Hayden - 3*. Good player.

Daulton Hyatt - 3*. Never gonna see the field.

Koilan Jackson - 3*. I look at him as a potential transfer due to the talent we're bringing in at WR.

Kam Curl - 3*. Pretty good player

Dalton Wagner - 3*. Backup OT

Maleek Barkley - 3*. Already transferred.

Jarrod Barnes - 3*. See Koilan Jackson.

Kirby Adcock - 3*. Starting OL.

Kyrei Fisher - 3*. Already transferred.

Shane Clenin - 3*. Backup OL.

Maleek Williams - 3*. 5th string RB, but has showed some promise.

Jarques Mclellion - 3*. Starting corner, and looks like he may be a good player at some point.

De'Vion Warren - 3*. Good player.

Derrick Munson - 3*. Jury is still out on this one.

David Porter - 3*. Jury is still out on this one.

Jordan Curtis - 3*. Probably never gonna play here.

Korey Hernandez - 3*. Already transferred.

Josh Paul - 3*. Already transferred.

Jonathan Nance - 3*. One decent season and transferred.

Gabe Richardson - 3*. Decent player
