I always figured Lock had very little room for error if he wanted consideration, mostly because the national media and hype was going to circle around the major programs. Did the UGA performance knock him out for all intents and purposes? He was horrible but also hardly Heisman like, even if not all his fault.

The only thing I think would get him back in the discussion (besides playing stellar in the remaining 8 games) is playing outstanding and beating Bama.

Thoughts?

Scouts watch these games. The most common phrase of the broadcast was "off/thru the receivers hands . . ."

Dead. When was the last time the Heisman went to someone on an unranked team?

Screw the Heisman. Only a few of the winners go on to have successful careers in the NFL.

I don't think it's dead but a monster game would have put him in the front pack.

If he personally destroys Bama and we win out...he has a good chance.

Other than that, his chances are 1% now.

agree. he didn't put the team on his back, and that's the kind of thing, win or lose, needed to get a Heisman.

Louisville went 9-4 the year Lamar Jackson won the Heisman yeah he put up video game numbers against clemson and the rest of the ACC besides a couple games but I still think if Lock has a big game vs Bama I still think the Heisman is not out of the question. Hopefully Hall will be 100% by then
